THE D LEAGUE
My passion is sports and entertainment. I plan to expand my clientele to entirely service the arts and entertainment. In 2022, I helped launch a women’s basketball league in the south suburbs of the Chicagoland area. This project is my ode to women’s basketball and how it helped mold my character. The D league’s first season of play started April 13th, 2022. Once a week, I capture gameday photography, videography, and design digital material for social media. I also help manage their social media and gameday operations. The growth of the league bewilders me because the gym is packed with fans every week. I have a lot of faith in women’s basketball to grow after embarking on this journey with The D League.
Game Day Action
I try my best to hold multiple hats for the league because it does not have the budget to hire a team to cover all media. I gather video clips of action play to post highlight clips and full length main event games. Video clips are sized for social media posts and social media stories. Some of the players in the league want to play basketball professionally and need flim to recruit themselves. I am that media resource for players to help market themselves to oversea scouts.
Social Media
Most of the content I create for The D League is sized for Instagram. The main following of the league is on Instagram, so I always create a post sized version go artwork and a story sized version.
DU STARS
I interned for Dominican University’s Department of Athletics for 2 years as their graphic designer and social media manager. A large bulk of my experience with sports graphics comes from my internship during my junior and senior year of studies. Before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, I was photographing and filming athletic events to create the presentations for the Dominican’s end of the year sports banquet. To help virtually recruit incoming freshman, I was tasked to edit and comprise short advertisement videos for each team sport. My passion is to be a designer I the sports and entertainment industry. Below are sport graphics and multimedia I designed during my internship and leisure.
Virtual Recruiting
Below are promotional videos that were used to virtually recruit incoming freshman because the Dominican University’s Department of Athletics could not physically have students visit the campus. I film the men's volleyball game, but majority of the film I had to work with was filmed by other videographers.
Wallpaper Wednesday
#WallpaperWednesday is a social media idea that I pitched to the sports information director to highlight the great athletes attending Dominican University. Many athletes were thrilled to see themselves posted every Wednesday.
Athletic Event Flyers
These flyers were plastered across campus to market important sponsored athletic events
